Clown Christmas Party

Delaney and Brynn (in their matching dresses) making their trees.

Delaney was concentrating so hard. It was so fun to watch!

Here is the magic show...
Smiling with Santa
Loving on her new baby.
Waving goodbye to Santa.

Kissing Rudolph.
He was so cute ...I had to take a picture in case he didn't last long.

Today we attended the Clown Christmas Party with my Granny and Papa, Aunt Nancy, Brock and Brynn. I've been going to this party for just about as long as I can remember! I was worried Delaney might give the clowns dirty looks like she did at the circus last year so we got online to look at pictures of the Moolah Shrine Clowns. I soon had her convinced that clowns were so silly! When we arrived at the party she was excited to see several of the clowns we had seen online. Deano the clown helped Delaney make a treat bag full of candy! She fell in love with him, waving and smiling each time he came anywhere near her. Later he gave her a sticker and the love just grew! She was catching his attention from across the room... so she could wave and smile at him! During the magic show a little boy about Delaney's age started rubbing her arm and leaning real close to her. She leaned closer to Brynn and Brynn put her arm around delaney to help shield her. When I got over there I pulled Delaney into my lap and the little boy leaned over to kiss her... this is when Delaney put up her hand to push him away and said "No thank you".... I almost lost it! later Brynn told us that he had said "I love you" to Delaney when they were sitting there. Also during the magic show the magician asked the kids to raise their hands if they had a pet... after looking around to see what everyone was doing, delaney raised her hand. (we don't have any pets) but she continued to raise her hand for dog, cat and .... ELEPHANT. yes she was one of a few kids who has an elephant for a pet... where she is hiding it I don't know! The kids were singing Jingle Bells as they waited for Snta to come and when he came through that door Delaney burst up in her seat with so much excitement and awe on her face! She was waving and going crazy! She waited patiently as Santa called out names of children to go sit on his lap and get a present. When he called her name she looked at me like "it's really my turn?" so I helped her up and off she went, right up to Santa and hopped up on his lap and smiled at the camera like a pro. She opened her present all by herself and what do you know... it was a baby in a blue box. Delaney has been telling me for a few weeks now that Snta was going to bring her a baby in a blue box. I guess my daughter is psychic! Before Santa left he was chatting with a clown and Delaney said "I need to hug him" so she ran over and wrapped her little arms around Santa's legs. It was so cute. Delaney also got a balloon Rudolph that she loved so much! The party was during normal nap time so we weren't in the car 2 minutes before she was out like a light! Thanks PaPa and Granny for inviting us. We all had a great time!
