Silver Dollar City

Mom was taking Alex off to Kamp Kanakuk at Table Rock Lake so she invited us to go along and spend a day and a half at Silver Dollar City. Granny, Aunt Nancy and cousins Brock and Brynn came too. We were packed into the car like clowns in the circus! We stooped in Springfield for lunch at Lamberts. Delaney found the roll throwing quite entertaining and we all filled up our tummies! When we got to Branson we checked into our condo then headed back out to Silver Dollar City. We spent most of our time that evening in the kiddie area. Delaney was just tall anough to ride the rides with someone 16 or older and the itty bitty rides all by herself.. or with Brock and Brynn. Her favorite was by far the swings as she rode them multiple times with me that first night and then again the next day with Alex. We stayed for some of the show that night and then went in search for some pizza... easier said than done! The next day we got up and headed back to SDC to spend the whole day this time. We made it around to the big rides... Delaney rode the All American Plunge with all of us and we got pretty wet... she didn't mind the ride.. but she didn't care for her clothes being wet! Silly Girl! We went in many of the shops, visited the petting animal farm and enjoyed the pottery, glass blowing demonstrations and the saloon show. We also made it back over to the kiddies rides for awhile where Delaney rode many rides with her uncle Alex. (and talked about riding those rides for days) Alex even took her on Fire in the Hole (I couldn't ride that it being a rollercoaster and all) but once again she got a little wet and was quite upset! She didn't mind the hills though she told me later the ride was fun she just didn't want to be splashed! This coming from my little mermaid in the bathtub and pool... hmmmm. It was a long fun and exhausting day! We left as the prak closed with giant bags of salt water taffy and headed into town to find some dinner. The kids had a great time and I'm so glad we got to go. The next day we paid a visit to the outlet mall and had fun shopping before enjoying lunch at the tuny little grill right by the campground we normally stay at in August. We dropped Alex off at camp later that day and Delaney wanted to stay there with him... maybe in a few years baby girl!
