Zoo Trip with McCoys

After returning from Ohio we took Nana, Papa, Aunt TT, Aunt Tammy, Uncle Jason and baby Brett to the Zoo! We had a lot of fun and I think Brett really enjoyed his first zoo trip! He was so cute acting like a monkey! Delaney of course enjoyed her time at the zoo as usual but it was more fun having special guests with her! We saw all our usual favorites and the kids rode the Carousel with Nana and Papa. We're looking forward to taking them to our other favorite spots here.. and the Zoo again sometime too!

Ohio Trip

Enjoying the trip there.... eating Cheerios and watching Annie!
Sleeping in her closet bed. Perfect place! Fireworks over the lake
Showing off the 4th of July glasses she made on the ride there.
Posing pretty for Mommy.
It was a sunny day!
Walking on the curb like a balance beam.
Finally passed out with only 10 minutes left on the way home.
We ventured up to Ohio for a family reunion. Jer's Grandpa is from a small town in Ohio called Coldwater and his family has a reunion every year. The weather was gorgeous and Delaney had a great time playing on the playground at the park during the reunion. I didn't get many pics this year but here are just a few.

Silver Dollar City

Mom was taking Alex off to Kamp Kanakuk at Table Rock Lake so she invited us to go along and spend a day and a half at Silver Dollar City. Granny, Aunt Nancy and cousins Brock and Brynn came too. We were packed into the car like clowns in the circus! We stooped in Springfield for lunch at Lamberts. Delaney found the roll throwing quite entertaining and we all filled up our tummies! When we got to Branson we checked into our condo then headed back out to Silver Dollar City. We spent most of our time that evening in the kiddie area. Delaney was just tall anough to ride the rides with someone 16 or older and the itty bitty rides all by herself.. or with Brock and Brynn. Her favorite was by far the swings as she rode them multiple times with me that first night and then again the next day with Alex. We stayed for some of the show that night and then went in search for some pizza... easier said than done! The next day we got up and headed back to SDC to spend the whole day this time. We made it around to the big rides... Delaney rode the All American Plunge with all of us and we got pretty wet... she didn't mind the ride.. but she didn't care for her clothes being wet! Silly Girl! We went in many of the shops, visited the petting animal farm and enjoyed the pottery, glass blowing demonstrations and the saloon show. We also made it back over to the kiddies rides for awhile where Delaney rode many rides with her uncle Alex. (and talked about riding those rides for days) Alex even took her on Fire in the Hole (I couldn't ride that it being a rollercoaster and all) but once again she got a little wet and was quite upset! She didn't mind the hills though she told me later the ride was fun she just didn't want to be splashed! This coming from my little mermaid in the bathtub and pool... hmmmm. It was a long fun and exhausting day! We left as the prak closed with giant bags of salt water taffy and headed into town to find some dinner. The kids had a great time and I'm so glad we got to go. The next day we paid a visit to the outlet mall and had fun shopping before enjoying lunch at the tuny little grill right by the campground we normally stay at in August. We dropped Alex off at camp later that day and Delaney wanted to stay there with him... maybe in a few years baby girl!

Zoo with Mommy

Delaney and ventued out to the Zoo the first day the temperatures weren't supposed to be in the 100's! It was still plenty warm but it was a great time. I love going places with her these days! She is such a little adventurer! She finds joy in the smallest little things and it's so much fun! We srated out going through The River's Edge, I think that is her favorite!he loves following the "animal tracks" on the path. The baby elephans, Jade and Mahlia were playing in the water, splashing eachother and rolling around! That had Delaney in fits of giggles to see them playing like she would in the water! We of course road the Carousel because it's just not a trip to the zoo if we don't! We walked up to the sea Lion show just in time! It was perfect timing and Delaney really enjoyed the tricks the sea lions performed! The zoo is a favorite place for us to visit and it never gets old!

Lake Trip With Friends

Amy's dad was so generous to give up his house at the Lake of the Ozarks so we could all take our kids down for a few days! We caravaned down and the kids enjoyed a snack while we got everything settled. We had dinner and then went out for ice cream. We had a rough time getting the kids to sleep that night. They were pretty excited to be having a big slumber party! The next day we headed to Big Surf waterpark. The kids had an absoulte blast at that place. The little kid area was perfect for letting them play in the water, ride on the seesaw and rocking animals, go down the slide and just have fun! We ventured into the wave pool as well and Delaney loved going out into the waves! Much different than when she visited the beach back in March! She swam all over the wave pool with her life jacket on and even showed Gavin how to swim in the wave pool! That night we had some very tired kiddos... so we ordered pizza and started getting them ready for bed early! They went to bed much easier the 2nd night! We enjoyed some girl time out on the porch with snacks and chocolate martinis... well they made me a chocolate milk in a martini glass! All in all a great trip and we look forward to going again! Although we have talked about going without the kids sometime too!
