Next weekend I am going to a wedding reception in KC for my very good friend Meghan and I am at a loss for what to wear. The only weddings I've been to lately I've been in (and worn a bridesmaid dress) or they've been in the dead of summer and well... you wear different things in July than you do in October. I'm probably making a bigger deal out of this than I need to... but I tend to obsess over clothes, what can I say? So I took a picture of the one dress I might be able to wear (it was my bridesmaid dress from when Amber got married in March 3 1/2 years ago.... and it actually still fits!) I think I need some type of shawl or something.... but I am wondering if it might be too dressy.. or if it could work. I just don't want to buy something new... I don't dress up much these days and it would just hang in my closet!

Dawn, I think it's beautiful and I think its perfect for a wedding. I agree, a shawl or something may also added an extra flare and also be nice if it's on the cool side.
Unless the invite says something like, casual attire, I think the dress is great. But if you are like me and always wanting to shop, go for it! Ha ha ha!!

I think it's a perfect dress. I'm wearing a strapless, tea-lenth dress and am definitely bringing a shawl/wrap type thing. Can't wait to see you!!!

My dress is sleeveless, and I'm just going with it.
We'll be indoors with a fire in the fireplace, so hopefully it will be cozy!
