Parade Pictures as Promised

Alex and Shawn at the parade.
My boyfriend.... SCOTT ROLEN!
Closer up Scott with his daughter on his lap... too cute!

I obviously didn't take this one myself, but I came across it online and thought it was so neat!
Tony LaRussa and his wife and daughters. It cracked me up that his shirt said smooch your pooch... I assume for his ARF foundation.
Alex and his Buddy Shawn walking back after the parade. They were gathering up confetti!

Cardinal's Parade of Champions

Sunday morning we raced back from Carrollton, Mo (Jer's home town) to get to Alex's rescheduled flag football game. (Jer coaches Alex's team) When the game got over we hightailed it downtown for the Parade of Champions. Since we got there as the parade was starting, needless to say we weren't all too close. Some of the pictures I took and some of them I got from other people because they could see better than me... little short stuff! Alex and his friend Shawn walked around collecting confetti (so I picked some up to to put in the ol' scrapbook.) We had a blast and it was neat being so close to the players... just wish I was taller. I'm already missing baseball... and I'm counting down the days until Spring Training! We are so going this year!

okay for some reason Blogger won't let me upload any pics right now... I'll post this and then I'll try to post the pics later!

I love the Cards!

We had a blast last night watching the cards game and celebrating their win of the world series! It got completely crazy when Wainright struck out Inge! Paddy O's erupted into shouts of "GO CARDS" and WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! So fun! The beer was flying and we were getting pelted with ice cold beer in the 40 degree weather! For once in my life I didn't care that I was freezing cold! I'd have done anything to get into that stadium (I had no idea they were letting people in at the end)! So here are some pics of our festivities with a few explanations. We made friends with just about everyone around us! It was a great night! Now if only I could get tickets to get into the stadium after the parade tomorrow... my little buddy (Alex) wants to go so bad and mom has been trying like crazy to get him tickets... with no luck as of yet.

Here is Paddy O's, located right next to Bush Stadium and the beginning of our fun Friday night.

Here is the view of the crowd outside Paddy O's... at least we were near a heater. I haven't been this packe din since college! It was literally like being a sardine and people just kept coming!

This is a picture that shows my view of the TV. What was funny is this: A guy near us stated that he couldn't see the TV very well (it was in the back of a miller lite van) and his buddy said " That's because it's a miller lite truck, if it was a BUDWEISER truck we would all be able to see it! That just made me laugh cause my whole life my dad has preached about Budwesier being the best!

This is not a very nice picture (but funny) of the guy Jerry affectionately called SHREK. He was sooo tall... and didn't seem to care at all that he was blocking the TV from like everyone! Most of the tall guys around us let me stand in front of them cause I am so short!

Here is the place after Wainright struck out Inge for the last out..... CRAZY!

As we walked past the stadium we could hear car horns and shouting! When we looked up at the stadium we could see the confetti flying around in the lights! An awesome sight!

This picture is a tribute to my MVP- Scott Rolen!

Congrats Meghan and Aaron

This weekend we went to Kansas City for our good friend Meghan and Aaron's wedding reception. It was so cold in KC and it rained our entire drive there.... but we had so much fun! We stayed with Jerry's sister Tina and though we barely spent any time with her... it was still good to see her. The room Meghan's reception was in was warm and cozy with a beautiful (and warm) fireplace! Their cake was gorgeous and I loved seeing baby pictures of Meghan and Aaron in their slideshow...brought back some great memories from living with Meghan in college! Never a dull moment in our room for sure! Jerry kept us updated on the Cards score.. and we were so excited when they won! We watched the highlights when we got back to Tina's! We were sad that Karin couldn't make it, but it was so nice to catch up with Jenny and Karl. I loved hearing about and seeing pictures of Spencer! And of course it was fun to see Meghan and Aaron because we rarely get to see them! I only wish we could have stayed longer! Meghan and Aaron... I wish you two the best of luck! Thanks for being great friends!

The Birds are going to the WORLD SERIES!

So.... Scott Rolen (my boyfriend) was robbed of his homerun by Endy Chavez.... however Playoff Yadi's homerun put us on top. Supp's pitching was fantastic... and Wainright closed a very shaky bottom of the ninth. I just loved watching them all mob him on the mound when he struck out Beltran (with the bases loaded!) I LOVE CARDINAL'S BASEBALL! Here's the the Birds going to the World Series!

Busy Weekend

This weekend was busy! A big win for my little buddy (Alex's) flag football team on Friday! Jerry and I spent Saturday cheering on the MU Tigers and the STL Cards. Here is a picture of Josh having too much fun with the fist, the finger and his miller high life. Then on Sunday after I dropped Jerry off at the airport Sunday -he went to CA for work until Friday :( I went to Chesterfield Mall with my Granny, Aunt Nancy and cousin Brynn. Brynn begged me to ride the double decker carousel with her and she let me take her picture. She ha dto ride on the top on the sea horse! These aren't the best as I took them with my phone... but cute anyways!

Is this dress okay?

Next weekend I am going to a wedding reception in KC for my very good friend Meghan and I am at a loss for what to wear. The only weddings I've been to lately I've been in (and worn a bridesmaid dress) or they've been in the dead of summer and well... you wear different things in July than you do in October. I'm probably making a bigger deal out of this than I need to... but I tend to obsess over clothes, what can I say? So I took a picture of the one dress I might be able to wear (it was my bridesmaid dress from when Amber got married in March 3 1/2 years ago.... and it actually still fits!) I think I need some type of shawl or something.... but I am wondering if it might be too dressy.. or if it could work. I just don't want to buy something new... I don't dress up much these days and it would just hang in my closet!

My Little Fredbirds

My little Fredbirds are all cheering on the Cardinals.... Don't they look adorable? We took some time out of our very busy schedule to make these Fredbird Visors today and they didn't want to take them off... even for recess! Most of them don't know much about baseball... but through me they have come to Love and Root Root Root for the CARDINALS! I love my little Fredbirds!

Cardinal Spirit

Alex and I spent some time using sidewalk chalk in the driveway to try to get some Cardinal Spirit going! This is my Fredbird...... we didn't have any black chalk.. so we used charcoal.... My batteries in my camera dies before I could get a picture of Alex's Cardinal Bird he drew sitting on a bat. He did an awesome job I might add. We had fun... and now we're hoping it'll help those Cards out!

Not a Lucky Day for the Cardinals!

So Yesterday we were fortunate enough to get tickets to the first playoff game at home. It was a gorgeous day for baseball and the crowd was pumped. I just really though it was the day the cards would sweep the padres. A girl a few rows in front of us was waving the top of a broom... for "sweep" it was funny. I took these great pictures at the beginning and didn't take any the rest of the game. For those of you who watched the game.. you know why.... and yes So Taguchi hit a solo homerun but as I was not expecting him to do that... I didn't have my camera ready. So we left pretty bummed but with the confidence that They WILL win in game 4.. we are NOT going back to San Diego. Good Luck My Beloved Cardinals.....

Oh and by the way.... I had the funniest dream that Scott Rolen was having an engagement party (in the dream he wasn't married) and at the engagement party he told his girlfeind sorry he couldn't marry her.. and he asked me to marry him! hahahahahahahha. I woke up laughing!

GO CARDS!

The game wasn't too exciting in and of itself, however when we found out tht Houston LOST.. the place went crazy! Congrats Cards..... NL Central Division Champs!

Here is Alex with his Cards Fist...... it drove us crazy but he loved that goofy thing!
Jerry and I..... we had on matching shirts.... aw!
Alex, Me and Jerry..... and that fist!
This is a pic (not so good) of everyone doing the Tomahawk Chant and hand motion when the Braves beat the Astros! These are at Paddy O's after the game.. we had to hang out near the edge cause Alex really wasn't supposed to be there!

Here are Mom and Dad posing at Paddy O's.

Back at the Butler Pool..... a great end to a fantastic weekend!

A little cheese with that WINE!

Here is Hudson reading his book about Farm Animals! The guys!

We found a catterpillar and Hudson loved it,
at first he was gentle then he tried to pull it into two pieces!

Yesterday, we enjoyed a gorgeous day at the winery with our very good friends Matt and Amber. It even got a little warmer than we thought. They brought their little guy Hudson and we met up with a friend of ours from college, Susan... however she escaped my pictures. Amber did too... sorry girls.
I love wine and I love Amber, Matt, Jerry, Hudson and Susan so it was a great day!
