Welcome Baby Brett!

Delaney holding her new baby cousin Brett.

She also begged to have her picture taken with Tammy and Jason's puppies...

Jer's sister Tammy and her husband Jason welcomed baby Brett into their family on November 24th 2009. Brett weighed 7lbs and was 20 inches long. He is a cutie! Brett's arrival made Jer an uncle and me an aunt. Brett is Delaney's first First Cousin. Delaney was so excited so meet baby Brett.. she held and kissed him lots! (poor guy) She continues to talk about how cute "baby Bwett" is and how she's going to play with him! (well in a year maybe!) Congrats Tammy and Jason! You are blessed and little Brett is lucky to have such a wonderful Mommy and Daddy! Can't wait to spoil our nephew!

GO TIGERS!

My little ham of a Mizzou Cheerleader....
Shakin' those pom poms...
Marching Mizzou
Sporting the Tiger Ears
Playing catch with Jack and Uncile Alex
tailgating
The General and Delaney tailgating.
We just love rooting for our Mizzou Tigers! We had so much fun at the game a few weeks ago... beautiful weather, fun tailgating and a win for the Tigers! Thanks Andy and Rachel! Delaney has learned to say "Gooooooooo Tigers!" and answer you when you say M-I-Z.... she says Z-O-U. We were getting all decked this weekend to watch the Tigers play KU and she said "Mama, does my shirt say M,I,Z,Z,O,U?" (of course hers just said MU) so the answer was no.. but good job spelling Mizzou baby girl! Delaney also loves to roar like a tiger when we cheer on Mizzou. She even says she wants to go to school at Mizzou! That's my girl! (but I do not want to think about her actually BEING in college anytime soon!)

Fall Fun

Delaney really enjoyed playing in the leaves this fall. We went on a walk one mornning after church and she wore herself out having so much fun in the pretty leaves. She loved finsing leaves that matched. A special surprise was all the lady bugs we found hiding in the leaves! At home we would rake giant piles for her to jump into and she would jump and giggle for hours! I'm not a big fan of fall... allergies... less daylight...cooler weather means winter is coming... etc. However watching Delaney enjoy the falling leaves made it much more fun!

Halloween

Dorthy posing for mommy at home.

Lovin' on Toto

Posing again

Delaney loes her witchies from Ms. Toni.

The pumpkin straw from Andy and Rachel was a bigger hit than the candy!

The Wizard of Oz (General) reading his Wizard of Oz book to Dorthy (Delaney)

Delaney had a great time dressing up as Dorthy on Halloween. She didn't get very into going door to door, but enjoyed running around in her costume, greeting trick or treaters (as long as they weren't wearing masks!) She was happy with the first sucker she got and never needed any more! (Until the following days when she knew candy was sitting right on the kitchen table where she could climb right up and help herself!) We had an entire month of fun filled Halloween events so delaney got some use out of her costume. Thanks Mimi for making such an authentic and perfect Dorthy costume for Delaney!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins

Posing for Mommy in front of the corn stalks.
She liked the pumpkins inside much better as they weren't dirty.

Clean pumpkins to sit on!
She was all about picking up the pumpkins in the field until she discovered they were dirty.
Painting her pumpkin. She picked blue to start with.
I finally convinced her to add some other colors.
This poor pumpkin has so many layers of paint on it... she could have painted all day!
Delaney was so not into touching the pumpkin guts... but what did I expect if she wouldn't even touch dirty pumpkins in the field at the patch right?
She liked watching Daddy clean out the pumpkin and eventually she decided to help him.
Concentrating on using that scoop... we wouldn't want the pumpkin guts to touch her hand now would we....

Gaining some confidence as she scooped out the pumpkin guts.
Still unsure about the whole idea....
Dancing around the finished pumpkin.
This thing was a pain! The walls of the pumpkin were so thick the little tool broke and try carving out letters with a steak knife! yikes!
Delaney is definately a little princess and proved that to us on our pumpkin patch trip, painting and carving activities this year. She woulnd't touch the dirty pumpkins, I had to wipe her hand each time she got paint on it and she was very skeptical about touching the pumpkin guts! I think she still had a good time with all the pumpkin activities!
