Play Time!

Quite a serious look baby girl!

There's a smile!
Look at this neat leaf.. I've never seen anything this cool!
Playing with her ball....
Play-doh!There goes the a!

This morning while Jer went golfing, Delaney and I enjoyed the beautiful weather playing outside. She loves to be outside and the leaves on the ground are quite fascinating to her. Luckily she is starting to learn not to put everything into her mouth! She also loves kicking and throwing her ball around the yard! Daddy's been working hard to teach her to kick because he wants little Delaney to be a soccer player! After a walk in the wagon (she loves when we go down hills fast!) we came in and I gave her some play-doh. Of course she tried to eat it despite me telling her not to. After one bite though she enjoyed pulling it apart and holding the ball and squishing it. I spelled out her name and we talked about the letters as she destroyed them! She must've been worn out because she is now alseep!

Apple Picking

Posing with the flowers.

Smelling the flowers.
Picking apples!

MMMMMM! Apples!

Riding the pony!

Not real sure what to think!
Dancing in the straw!

We took Delaney apple picking on Sunday. She didn't quite get into the picking until the end, but she was very into the eating! Her shirt was just soaked in juice from the apple she was eating! We enjoyed all the fun activities that the Apple Orchard had to offer. Delaney rode a pony for the first time and went down a huge slide! (with mommy and daddy holding her of course!) She loved sharing succotash with me and ice cream too! She ran in the straw and danced to the band that was playing and she passed out on the way home! All in all a very fun day! We were greatful that it didn't rain and wasn't too hot either! We're already looking forward to taking Delaney to the Pumpkin Patch in a few weeks!

Go Flyers!

Here is Delaney in her Flyers Cheerleading Outfit. She got to wear it twice this weekend. She wore it Friday night to root for the High School Football Flyers, and Saturday to cheer on her uncle Alex and the 7th grade Football Flyers. She didn't exactly want to hold still for me to take any pictures... she was too busy cheering!

With Daddy!

Thursday night we had the opportunity to go to a special event at Grant's Farm. The best part was we got to go with a lot of Delaney's friends. Addy, Zack, Maya, Gavin, Olivia and Alaina were all there! The kids had a blast seeing the animals, dancing, playing with bubbles and of course eating! Here are a few pics from the event. Thanks for inviting us Amy.

The Little Gym

Parachute ride with the balls!
Ball Play!
Learning to hang from the bar.
Climbing

Forward roll....

Tuesday we took Delaney to a preview class at The Little Gym. Her eyes lit up the moment we entered the gym. She had such a good time she convinced us to sign her up for the rest of the session. Sheer joy was on her face the whole time. She loved the free exploration time the best, but balls and bubbles on the parachute was also a favorite part I think. She also loved the ride we took them on the parachute. (all the adults held the sides and walked around in a circle) Really she just had a lot of fun and got out a lot of that energy she has too! Delaney si one of those kids that wakes up and is busy all day... she even moves in her sleep really....so we though this would be a great activity for her. She is also very adventurous and has very little fear.... she's wiling to try almost everything! It was neat to see her watching the other kids and learn what to do on some of the equipment. I am looking forward to taking her back next week... and I know she will like to go back... seeing as she cried when we had to leave!
Sorry the pics aren't great... Jer took them with his camera phone and the sun was coming in the windows making the lighting weird!

13 Months Old

Rah Rah.. Go TIGERS!

Dear Delaney-

This week you turned 13 months old. You've been very busy since your first birthday. You started going to "school" (or more appropriately- daycare) when mommy goes to school. You go to school with your friends Gavin and Maya. (and you have made other new friends at daycare as well!) It's so sweet to hear the kids call you by your name. Last week Gavin greeted you so sweetly and moved over on the couch so you could sit next to him! You cried for a few days and made mommy so sad to leave you... but you are doing better now and that makes your mommy much happier! I know you have a lot of fun during the day and I am so glad you are lucky enough to go to Ms. Linda!

You have also started running instead of walking places and you climb up and over anything in your path! You started walking up and down your foam ramps in the basement..... you sure do have great balance! You can ride your four wheeler without help! (well sometimes you need help steering!) You love to go to the park where you can run, play and climb. I think a class at The Little Gym is in our near future.

You love to play hide and seek. You hide- usually behind us as we sit on the floor and when we pretend we can't find you... you collapse into a fit of giggles, especially when we grab you and say "oh there you are!". You are still enjoying pushing your babies around the house in strollers. You hug them, rock them, kiss them and toss them out of you way!

Your newest accomplishment is eating with a spoon. You ate a whole bowl of mashed potatoes by yourself and you did pretty well! You seemed very impressed with yourself!

Your new words this month are Hudson, Yes and uh-oh (which comes out more like uh-uh). So now you can say Hi, Yeah, Mama, Dada, Aaahx (for Alex) Fish, Aidan, duck, Hudson Uh-Oh and Yes. You try to repeat a lot of what we say and it is funny to watch you try so hard to communicate with us! You point at everything and are very curious about your world. You understand most of what we say now so we have to be careful when we mention things like "outside" because if you hear that you are quickly on your way to the door! (and then insist on going outside!)

You certainly are] \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ strong willed.. like right now when you are insisting on typing on mommies laptop.... see those slashes... those are from you! You know what you want, when you want it and how you want it.. that's for sure! We do love wtaching your little personality emerge and grow.

We can't wait to see what you will do next!
Love, Mama!
