Boat Ride

Smiling with Daddy
Helping Daddy drive the boat!
With Grandma and Grandpa.
At the dock pretending to drive the boat!

We took Delaney to the Lake this weekend to see her Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Tina, Aunt Tammy and Uncle Jason. She got to go on her very first boat ride! When we frst took off she was very excited... she loved watching the water churn behind us from the motor. After a few minutes she was in a trance and not long after that .... fast asleep! She was just so relaxed and all chilled out. Saturday was a bit cloudy and cooler but Sunday was gorgeous... she even got to wear her swimming suit with her lifejacket. Oh and I've never met a baby who liked wearing their lifejacket.. and Delaney is no exception... she screemed when we put it on.. but as soon as the boat was mooving she got over it! We had a great time visiting and are looking forward to another trip to the lake soon!

New Friend, New Accomplishments and New Pictures

Hudson kissing his new baby brother Camden.
Jerry holding baby Camden
Delaney just being cute with her fancy pig tails!
Crawling up the steps with Daddy close behind!
Standing all alone!
Peeking out of her play house.
Trying to figure out the slide...

Delaney has another new friend.. this time a boyfriend! We got to visit with Baby Camden, Proud Mommy and Daddy and Big Brother Hudson last week. Hudson was so sweet with his new baby brother. Delaney was more interested in trying to chase after Hudson! She thinks he is just hilarious! Baby Camden is so sweet and very lucky to have such a wonderful family! We're looking forward to watching him grow and learn!

Delaney can now stand alone... after pulling up she often lets go with both hands and can stand for a minute or so! She is also cruising on furniture like crazy! She can also climb all the way up the steps from our basement. We follow close behind to make sure she won't fall.... but she LOVES to climb and is quite good... our little monkey!

We are borrowing a little play house from my friend Amy. (Thanks Amy!) We brought it outside on the puzzle mats we bought for Delaney. She loves the play house.... she opens and shuts the shutters and the door... she loves climbing through the circle and the door! She hasn't figured out the slide just yet... but I'm sure she will in no time! She loves peeking at us through the "windows" .. it's so cute!

In just a week I will have more time to take and post pictures with school being out for the summer.. be ready!

9 Months Old!

It was almost impossible to get the bear picture this month... she kept crawling away... but Dadddy blew some bubbles... and here ya go....

Yummy pancakes!
sometimes you sleep like this.....
and sometimes like this....
and you always wake up like this... happy with some bed head!
Standing with one hand (and showing off the piggie tails)
crawling away...the view we see the most!
Feeding baby... this was after you tried to drink the baby's bottle...
Rock a bye Baby

Dear Delaney Grace,

You are nine months old and just as fast as you can crawl your first year is flying by! You amaze us everyday with everything you do. You are getting to be so very smart and growing cuter by the minute! We can't go anywhere without someone stopping us to talk to you and tell you just how adorable you are. I'm surei t helps that you babble away at everyone we pass enticing them to talk to you and thereby forcing them to tell you how wonderful you are! We always agree of course! In the past month you have grown enough hair for bow clips and piggie tails. You can now stand holding on with just one hand (and sometimes none.. for just a second). You pull up on anything that is at least an inch off the ground, which sometimes includes books and or peek a blocks! You fall down a lot and bumo your head. Daddy and I obsessed over your first few head bumps but now it just a part of your day! You are crawling EVERYWHERE, under tables, up one step, through our legs and your tunnels. If we try to change your diaper on the floor you almost always try to crawl away.. little bare butt in the air! You DO NOT like to sit, crawl or stand in the grass. Miss Priss! You however do not mind crawling on concrete! hmmmm. You have recently started to turn your nose up at baby food and being fed by a spoon. You shut your lips tight and block with both hands while making the most amusing faces. However you do love to feed yourself. So far you have liked eating noodles, cheese, hamburger meat, guacamole, rolls, pancakes and cheerios (what baby doesn't right?) (actually you flip out if you SEE the cheerios box and insist on having some immediately. ) You have thrown most vegetables and fruits on the floor... poor green beans. You love to sing along to the music in the car and laugh at yourself in the mirror. You have two bottom teeth and the top ones should be arriving soon. We're waiting to see if you become attached to any certain lovey or stuffed animal. Right now you lile your burp rags and baby Ella's pigtails to hold on to. Tonight I found you and daddy rocking your baby and feeding your baby. So sweet! We are enjoying watching you grow and change each and every day! Keep on shining baby girl!

Delaney and Mabel: Future Roomates

Delaney waving "Hi" to Mabel

Dawn, Delaney, Meghan and Mabel! (see the girls checking each other out!)

And here is a laugh for you..... These are pictures of Meghan and I in college!
(don't worry Meghan they aren't the REALLY embarassing ones!)
Meghan and I in balloon hats from winning the roomate challange (I think)
yes- our RA was a clown on the side!
Homecoming with Truman the Tiger..
pictured clockwise are ...Little Jen, Dawn, Meghan and Tall Jenn.

Last weekend we got to visit with my dear friend Meghan her husband Aaron and their adorable baby girl Mabel. Meghan and I were roomates in college and nobody had more fun than we did living together! Our room was usually a disaster area, covered in Hanson posters (my fault) and little presents from Meghan's mom's grab bags... such as the baby doll quints and the ice pick. We had some friends on our floor who also liked to have fun and so... we did just that... well and we also went to class ...of course! I'm so lucky to have a friend like Meghan and I'm so glad we've been able to stay in touch. Right now it seems that Mabel and Delaney are so far apart in age when in reality they will be the same grade in school...whiach means... they can be roomates in college and try to live down some of Meghan and I's adventures! Good luck girls! Delaney loved talking to Mabel and waving hi to her! Mabel just cooly sat and checked Delaney out as well. Mabel is such a sweet baby and we can't wait to visit with them all again! An added bonus to our trip was getting to stay and visit with Delaney's Aunt Tina. Aunt Tina totally spoiled Delaney while shopping... and cooked dinner for us! Thanks Tee Tee!
