Big Girl Outfit
Delaney says "Hi!"

Ever since I found out we were having a baby girl I've been all excited about dressing her in cute clothes. Well while shopping for some bigger size clothes for the fall and winter I found this outfit and I just had to have it for Delaney. It's a size 3-6 months so it is a little big as of now... but not too much! What baby girl doesn't need a jean skirt with cute leggings? I just loved her little bare feet with those leggings.

When we first brought Delaney home she didn't care for her Baby Papasan Vibrating Chair. Well I pulled it out today and tried again... and she loved it! She liked hitting the butterflies and making them swing. It also plays music and Delaney LOVES music! She played in her chair while I fixed my hair and while I washed bottles.

Museum of Transportation
Amber, Matt and Hudson

Saturday we met Amber, Matt and Hudson at The Museum of Transportation. Hudson LOVES trains (he calls them all Thomas.. as in Thomas the Train... too cute) Delaney loves being outside so she had a good time too... even though she didn't know where we were. We rode a mini train and a tram... which to Delaney is heaven.. cause she loves movement! We learned a lot from our Train Conductor and had fun checking out all the cool trains. Matt and Jerry enjoyed looking at the display of old cars... going back to a Model T... pretty neat. We love spending time with Matt, Amber and Hudson..... it was a fun day!

First Night Out
Amber and I

Friday night Jerry and I spent our first night out without Delaney. She stayed with MiMi, The General and Uncle Alex while we met Amber and Matt for Dooley's burgers and the Card's Game. We had fun but we were ready to hug and kiss our little girl when we got home! So here are some pics of us at the game.... and because most of you check this blog to look at Delaney... I incuded one of her as well!

Sweet and Silly Smiles
Laughing out loud
I'm a sweetie pie.
Silly Baby
Yeah I'm cute!

Our sweet baby girl has started smiling at us! We had a rough couple of weeks while we got her GERD (aka reflux) under control. Now that we have she is all smiles and fusses a whole lot less. It's like she's a different baby. She is getting more fun every day! She almost refuses to smile for me when I pose and try to get her to smile... she is stubborn I guess. The best I've been able to do is with my phone.... cause I can grab it quicker. So sorry these pics aren't the best quality... but just look at that smile! It melts my heart! I'll try to get some on video soon.

Delaney's First Cardinal Game
Smiling in her Card's outift!
Happy to be at the Cards game!

Daddy and Delaney

Monday night Jer's company had a suite for the Cardinal game and we got to go! It was a perfect way to take Delaney to her first game! I dressed her in Cardinal gear from head to toe and blanket too! Her Cardinal bow was too big so we just went with her red one. She was wide awake and alert most of the time we were there and she was the hit of the suite for sure! She seemed to like cheering for the Cards! That's my girl! We waited until the dessert cart came.... yummmy... and then we left a little early (right as the cards started their comeback.. but it wasn't enough sadly) and got home in time to feed her and put her to sleep around 10.. she slept until 7:15am! Guess we should take her to Cards game every night!

Weekend Trip

This weekend we traveled to Jer's hometown to visit with his family. Delaney got to meet her Great Grandma, Great Grandpa and Great Aunt Ruth. She also got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa McCoy and Aunt Tina. Jer's mom spoiled us with all kinds of yummy food! She makes the BEST desserts! So much for losing this baby weight! We really enjoyed visiting with them. On Sunday we stopped in Columbia to have lunch with Kat at Shakespears Pizza! mmm.. once again... how am I ever gonna lose this baby weight? Then we walked to the campus bookstore and since we knew the score we got 25% off! It was fun to see Kat and spend time on our old stomping ground... it makes us miss college...

Hair Dryer
Delaney right after I turned on the hair dryer cd: in a trance

My darling daughter has chosen the sound of a hair dryer as her favorite white noise. My baby girl is very alert and often fights off sleep because she doesn't want to miss out on anything that is going on. When she gets overtired.. or fussy and nothing else seems to calm her (not even food) it is the hair dryer that gets her calmed down.... and even puts her right to sleep. I read about white noise and just tried the hair dryer one day and boom... she was zoned out! Well after about a week of running my hair dryer and deciding I might blow out the motor.. I found The Happiest Baby on the Block cd (and book) I ordered the cd which has a 17 min soundtrack of a hair dryer and some other white noises as well. I read the book cover to cover and learned some other interesting ways to calm her down, but it is still the hair dryer sound that works best. She can be screaming at the top of her lungs and turn on the cd and she stops in her tracks! The only time this doesn't work is if she is hungry. Needless to say I burned the cd and made a copy for the car and ripped it to my laptop as well. At night Delaney has to be swaddled.. to sleep well and swaddling also calms her down during the day... but she looks like a little glow worm! Remember those?

GO FLYERS
The bow:

My little buddy is playing tackle football for the Junior Flyers. Today we went out to see him play his first game. I made Delaney a special onesie to wear to help cheer on her Uncle Alex. Of course mom made her a "Lindbergh Flyers" bow to match! Alex has a lot to learn but did pretty good. He sure has a lot of heart for the game of football! Delaney was a good girl at the game and everyone got a kick out of her onesie. It looks as though football season is officially here....
