Happy Anniversary

Today is Jerry and I's Wedding Anniversary. It is hard to believe but it has been three years! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. Tonight we will be going to the Cardinal's game to celebrate. I'll have pictures of that tomorrow. For now, here are some pics from our wedding three years ago.

The Lake with Alex

I am way behind because my laptop is at "sick bay" getting fixed and without my wireless laptop I just don't get downstairs to use the regular computer as much. So... Father's Day Weekend Jerry and I took Alex to the lake with us. He had a ton of fun and didn't want to go home. Here are a few pics from that weeeknd.

Alex wanted to drive the golf cart so bad! He is decked in his Cheif's Jersey.... just for Jerry's Dad who is a big Chief's fan.

This is what happens when you let a 10 year old put on their own sunscreen!

This is "Water Football" Jerry, Alex and 3 other kids from the area made up a game of Water Football. Jerry and Alex won... and it was just hilarious to watch Jerry play with them!

A Visit With Friends

On Sunday we had a visit from our Best Friends Amber, Matt and their 10 month old baby Hudson.Amber has been my very close friend for 9 years. She is an awesome friend and a terriffic mommy to Hudson. They live in O'Fallon... which is just quite a trek from South County. We try to see them as often as we can and we take turns driving out there or them driving here. We went out to lunch and I just had to post some pictures of Hudson. He is just adorable! He has recently discovered his toungue and like to stick it out all the time. They guys kept calling him Michael Jordan (I guess he hung his toungue out when he played basketball.. news to me) The first one is while Matt was feeding him green beans. The second one is Hudson and I.... and the last one is atfer I popped his collar of his polo shirt and tickled him to make him smile! What a cutie!

Memories

This past weekend we spent some time at my parents house watching old home movies. The video quality between Andy and I as kids and then Alex is amazing.... and I'm sure now it's even better. My brother Andy and I were huge hams which made the videos hilarious. Alex got a huge kick out of watching the videos of Andy and I. So then we had to pull out the videos of Alex. He was the cutest baby! He was quite a ham himself! So in honor of the memories I scanned a favorite picture from Easter..1983. Andy hates this one...mom made those chick outfits.... I think they are cute!

New Hobby

Jerry found a new hobby after he got a bike and no it's not just biking... But mountain biking. Well since he got a new hobby of mountain biking I also got it be default. I still have a mountain bike that I have had since who knows when.. Maybe 1992? I took it to college at MU but decided it was not fun to ride my bike to class. With the exception of short bike rides to the park with Alex I haven't ridden it in forever. Lately we've been doing some trails around Fenton but they were all flat (off road dirt.. Lots of weeds). Yesterday we took Alex to Castlewood(because the child has memorized my cell phone number and called be every day this week asking me to take him biking. (So I guess I should say that Alex has a new hobby too) We asked which trails might be easier for a 10 year old (soon to be 11 year old) They weren't too bad, but there were some tough parts and Alex and I both wiped out. Well I jumped off my bike and fell when I knew I wasn't going to make it up this huge incline... But Alex stayed on his bike and therefore rolled back down gained more speed and the bike fell on top of him! Poor little guy... Wait what am I saying he is as big as me. Well we all survived and today I am a bit sore but all in one piece. I don't have any pictures of us biking because the boys wouldn't let me bring a camera... Plus who knows where I'd have kept it. Here is a picture though from a website. This was just the beginning of one of the trails. Maybe next time I can sneak my camera a long!

Yard Work

I spent my entire day working in our yard. I know it's a litle late for planting..... but with the end of school being so crazy I just didn't get to it. So today I spread weed and feed on the front and back yard and planted a ton of flowers. Where we got a huge tree cut down last year we just couldn't get grass to grow (to be honest we didn't try that hard...) anyways I decided to plant flowers there instead. I think I like it. What do you think?

Wedding in Carrollton

This weekend we went to Jerry's hometown for a wedding reception. For those of you who don't know... Carrollton is a little tiny town not to far from Marshall, MO. about 30 minutes from Kansas City. There are two stop lights but one is always on blink... and there is actually a square in the center of the town with the city hall in the middle. The girl who got married was a good friend of Jerry's from high school. Here are some pictures to recap the night.
Kat and I.. she works with Kaley (the bride) in Columbia

Kat and her roomate Krista

Ryan ( one of Jerry's good friends from high school) and Kat

The country club was decorated like a luau. It was really cute.

I even got to keep my very own parrot. I think I'll name him Margaritta.... I wasn't drinking those but Bud Light is just not a good name for a parrot.

Happy Birthday Jerry

This is one of the shirts I got Jerry for his birthday. He is from a really small town and he actually learned to drive by driving a tractor when he was young. This shirt was just too perfect! Happy Birthday Jerry!
